Batch Collection

The Accuplus® Batch Collection module reduces inaccuracies in data collection by allowing information to be collected in the warehouse via handheld data collection devices. Because the user scans the information and then downloads the data into the system when he or she returns, errors caused by unclear handwriting and the transpositions of numbers are eliminated. Very much like its big brother, the RF module, the Accuplus® Batch Collection system is used for receiving, serial number collection at the time of shipping, physical inventory, location moves, and more using a hand-held terminal. Data can be updated once a day or every time a transaction is processed simply by connecting the hand-held unit to the update station and pressing a key. The data then uploads to the Accuplus® system and is validated for accuracy. Batch Collection systems have a strong presence in warehouse environments that require a large amount of data entry. The collection of data on products like Roll Paper which have bar-coded roll numbers, linear feet, and non-standard weights would be one example of how the Batch Collection module would be utilized.
